In any skill development process, Practice makes perfect. At Binary we believe in the value of practice as a means of reducing human error- in claims processing, and in applying the relevant billing rules on each account. We have a variety of training programs catering to various kinds of roles such as Demographic entry, Coding, Charge entry, Transmission, Cash posting, Denial Analysis, AR Calling, Project transition, Project management and Team management.
6 QUALITY
To use a clinched phrase that nevertheless describes our approach, at Binary, Quality is the No.1 priority.
For every client, an Accounts manual is created and updated regularly. The manual contains policies, procedures and the billing rules for that particular client. Every employee working in that account is trained and periodically evaluated on his or her knowledge of the billing manual.
100% audits are done on every single employee at defined frequencies. Only personnel who give consistent quality are retained in the system.
The respective team also audits each employee’s daily output, through a combination of self-audits, peer audits and Team Leaders. We have a separate Quality team, which delivers clean claims.
Customer feedback is taken seriously with senior management involved in reviews with the team to sensitize them on the seriousness. Wherever possible the feedback is identified to the person / process and rectification done so that the errors are not repeated. Personnel are put through regular refresher training courses whose content is tailored based on the feedback on the individual.
7 HIPPAA COMPLIANCE DATA SECURITY AND MAINTAINENCE
A} All scanned files are stored for a period of 3 months in system. Later the files are deleted. In case of hard copies they are shredded.
B} No records can be taken out from the office. No CD’s, cameras, pen drives are allowed inside the office.
C} Employee’s are made to sign a confidentiality agreement.
D} One person is employed as a HIPPAA compliance officer who is in charge of the compliance.
